Any Questions

How long are the therapy sessions?

They range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes, depending on the therapies you require and the issues you are experiencing.

What is the difference between Sports Massage and Deep Tissue Massage?

Sports Massage is a more targeted therapy with the main aim of improving muscle function and eliminating dysfunction. Deep Tissue Massage is a more general massage that not only aims to relax muscle tension but also improve the workings of your body’s internal systems.

How do I book?

You can either text me with the date and time you wish, and I will check and respond back to you. Alternatively, you can book online yourself with a day and time that suits, as well as the relevant therapy you are looking for. If I’m not in a therapy session and you call me, I will endeavor to answer, of course.

Does Massage hurt?

Massage can feel uncomfortable if you are experiencing tight or contracted muscles. It doesn’t usually hurt when the muscles are in a relaxed state. A good therapist will always aim to work within your own pain thresholds.

What should I wear?

This depends on the kind of therapy you need, but try to think about which area of the body you are experiencing issues with and wear something that will allow the therapist suitable access to the targeted area.

What are the side effects of massage?

They can vary from person to person and depending on when you last had a massage. They can range from absolutely no side effects to being thirsty, tired, needing the toilet, or feeling that you have a cold coming. It really depends on the therapy you choose, but the side effects are usually not long-lasting.

How often should I have a massage?

It depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you are trying to maintain a body for sports activities, a set schedule of massage therapies would be beneficial. If you are dealing with injuries or muscle dysfunction, you may need a number of therapies over a shorter period of time to address the issue. If you are looking for a general massage to clear your internal systems and enjoy a feeling of general well-being, there is no magic answer—just try to listen to what your body tells you.

Is mobile service available?

I don’t currently offer a mobile service. This is mainly due to the parking restrictions within Portsmouth, which make traveling and parking at particular locations difficult.
